Student Put In Bad Kid Box


The parents of a student say Parkersburg High School teacher put their son in a box labeled "Bad Kid Fort" because of his behavior in class.

Beth Dean Richards and Jeff said social studies teacher humiliated 15-year-old son.

"Instead of sending out of the room, or any other variety of options, he formed a large cardboard box and put a frame around the table, completely enclosing, compared with 30 of their peers,'' a said Dean News and Sentinel Parkersburg.

His son, who has a problem of trust, he stayed for about 15 minutes, he said.

"It will not help and destroyed, advice and support we have given to have a good image of yourself,'' he said.

Individual training plan for your child steps to follow when their behavior is disruptive or unmanageable said.

"Located in a cardboard box was not one of these steps,'' he said.

He said the school administration had exaggerated the incident until he received a photo of the box that you saw another student in the hallway.

Pam Goots Key said the incident was not common sense. But she does not believe that the teacher in order to embarrass the student.
