THE INDIAN GANG-RAPED GIRL WAS DIED IN SINGAPORE

Both were stripped and thrown out of the bus, police said.Indian police have arrested six people in connection with the attack, which left the victim severe internal injuries, a lung infection and brain damage. He also suffered a heart attack in hospital in India.Indian High Commissioner, or ambassador, T.C.A. Raghavan told reporters that the magnitude of the injuries the woman was "very serious" and end "was too much."He said they were taking to take his body back to India.The terrifying nature of the crime shocked Indians, who have been in the thousands of demonstrations almost daily. Indian television channels said that security had been tightened in New Delhi on Saturday pending further protests after the death of the woman.The protesters are demanding greater protection for women and the death penalty for rape, which is now punishable by a maximum of life imprisonment. Women suffer daily harassment throughout India, from whistling in the streets, looking and touching public transport rape.Singh said he understood the angry reaction to the attack and hoped that all Indians to work together to make the necessary changes."These reactions are perfectly understandable from a young India and India one you really want a change," the premier said in a statement Saturday. "It would be a real tribute to his memory, if we can channel these emotions and energies in a constructive course of action."He said the government was reviewing the penalties for crimes such as rape "to improve the safety and security of women.""I hope that the entire political class and civil society aside narrow sectional interests and agendas to help us get to the end we all want - that India is a noticeably better and safer for women to live," said Singh .Mamta Sharma, head of the state National Commission for Women, said that "it is time for stricter laws" to stop violence against women. "Society has to change its mindset to stop crimes against women," he said.The tragedy has forced India to face the reality that women victims of sexual assault are often blamed for the crime, which forces them to remain silent and not report it to the authorities for fear of exposing their families to ridicule. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: "His body is dead, but his soul always stirs our hearts."Moreover, the authorities in the state of Punjab took action on Thursday, when a woman of 18 years old, committed suicide by taking poison than a month after she told police she was raped.State officials suspended a police officer and two other charges fired on them delayed investigate and take appropriate action. The three accused of rape were arrested Thursday night only, one month after the crime was reported."This is a very sensitive crime, I have taken very seriously," said Paramjit Singh Gill, a top police official in the city of Patiala.The Press Trust of India reported that the woman was raped on Nov. 13 and reported the attack to police on November 27.
